Madness is the gift that has been given to me.

I'm typing this from a high shelf in the warehouse, a little better than 15 feet in the air. A couple of us are up here, and we have the Sales VP's laptop. I think some of the guys are holed up in the men's room--the bathrooms are the only place in the whole shop with locks but no windows. The warehouse was a second-best; the only window between ( Read more... )

Good thing zombies can't climb... or CAN they... I know pirate undead sure can, better hope it's not them.

What you really need is a good chainsaw, and what better excuse to get one than zombies? :)

I was considering adding more references to zombies in pop culture, but decided that I'd have to keep them to a minimum if I wanted to keep this sounding believable.

So here were my references:

None of them are answering their phones--they're probably on them, trying to call their families, or the police, or the nearest chainsaw salesman, or something.

There's your obligatory chainsaw reference.

A little while ago, one of the printers decided that the silence was driving him crazy, and he turned on his CD player--to "Down with the Sickness," of all the fucked-up things--until we all yelled at him to turn it off.

"Down with the Sickness" was featured prominently in the remake of Dawn of the Dead--both the Disturbed and Richard Cheese versions.

:) Thanks. I found this very entertaining yesterday, more so for the fact that I have two friends on my friends list who participated and that was all the posts on my list... thusly very cool.

I do remember that song being peppered heavily through Dawn of the Dead. Maybe a zombie movie night is in order. Hm.

Please write more. Please!! I want to know if you made it to the roof, if someone eventually just finished off the printer guy. Did the zombies in the room get organized and get out? Did Queen start playing in the background as the inevitable fight scene started? Did you sing White Lines? Oh, that was a movie.

Come on! I'm hanging by a thread here!! :)

I was just going to leave it hanging, and let the lack of an ending be an ending all by itself.

But since you asked, I wrote this up today.
