In 2004, with a clean conscience, I voted Libertarian because I thought Badnarik was the best candidate (with no chance of winning) and because I knew Kerry would take the state anyways.
In 2008, I can't vote Libertarian - Bob Barr has a pretty negative history when it comes to Pagans, and hell (from any religion) will freeze over before I'll vote for him for anything. But I do actually like Obama, despite the Chicago connections.

Heh, I also voted for Badnarik, and with the same logic. In fact, based on a straw poll llamachameleon and I conducted after that election (which is to say, we asked everyone we knew), we found that Badnarik should have taken Illinois by a landslide.
Once I draw them back to what it actually says, *most* people think it's funny. I do think it's very telling though that they sold like gang busters this summer and now, while people still appreciate the joke they're more reluctant to invest in it.
While we're on the subject however, did Five tell you about the best comeback I heard regarding the shirts? A guy bought one at a convention this summer - *loved* it. A friend of his saw it and sneered at him: "McCain sucks - I'm voting for Obama."
The guy immediately came back with, "Oh really? What's his position on literacy?"
