So, there's a Captain America Movie coming out! Exciting! And Captain America is not going to be played by Jensen Ackles! Even more exciting. Not that I don't adore the man as Dean, I just don't want him holding Cap's shield.

Re: a crossover film - that was totally my first thought. You cannot cast from other pieces of the same universe! I need to be able to read fic without the cognitive dissonance of two unrelated characters with the same face! I got enough of that in PoTC fandom, when I found the crazy/awesome crossovers girl who thought nothing of throwing together up to six Johnny Depp characters, and possibly also multiple Antonio Banderas characters, and some of them were having sex with each other. Usually in groups. Basically, that kind of crazy can only work once.

Things like Infinite Crisis and Civil War make me really glad that all I know of comics, I learned from fandom.

RDJ = the William Shatner of his generation?
