I went through "Labyrinth" and actually took notes and screen caps of all Jareth's costumes. Sadly, the caps are just from the DVD, not the Blu-Ray - to take screenshots of the Blu-Ray requires fancy software I don't have.
I wonder what they all thought. The impression I get from the documentaries is that even if Henson was looking to reach out to a big audience, the creative team was really happy and into just doing this amazing thing for themselves. It was probably a good combination :-)
:D I don't think I'm going to do the whole Black Armour, but I *am* going to do the floaty skeleton cape he wears with it, since he also wears that cape with the Magic Dance outfit I've already made. Once I've done the cape, I'll see whether I feel like doing the rest of the Black Armour or whether I want the Escher Duel scene outfit.
Holy smokes - that's a lot of times! Yeah, you can burn yourself out on a film.
It's funny how watching a movie changes after you become a costumer. I actually wish I could sometimes turn it off and just watch the story instead of the zippers.
I've heard of the manga but I haven't ever read them. Are they good?
