Watching a great tine traveling samaria zen/nihil movie with a great quote:

"Your Grudge is the proof of the shalowness of your soul. So take it with you to the depths of Hell."

Just thought it was a great line... As if a grudge could affect the depth of a soul... LOL. ::smirk::

maybe they mean that the grudge is a characteristic of shallowness, not a cause. hehe

Perhaps it's both. The negative emotions you hold on to with a grudge clouds you perspective, thus making your scope so limited that you can't see the bigger picture. The more you hang on to it, the less and less you see. Till your scope is so limited that you can't see past yourself.
On the other hand, those who let the silliness of life lead them to hold grudges could be so shallow that can't see anyone point of view but their own. Really a vicious cycle that encompasses both ideas.
Or perhaps it was a comment made in jest to start with and we have just analyzed it.
