I was on vacation for 2 weeks. I'm finishing up that now as I drive to New York for a family reunions and then home in a whirlwind trip. I'm a better person on vacation. My muscles ache from days of use but my heart yearns for more. I am home but cannot sleep. I am restless and feel confined...like the space is too small. I am happy to be near her but would rather we be on the road than together here. I am not yer ready for the safety of my contained life. I need more.

I've now been on vacation for almost 2 weeks. It started off with her and I are running to the Keys for a few days. While the temperature and humidity kicked our ass, the trip out to Dry Tortugas was absolutely amazing and the highlights of our diving trip. I'm currently sitting outside of babbidge library on the UConn Campus. It's about 8 in the morning and I got here just before the light drizzle started. It's kind of a unique place as library has several tables outside under and Awning so I can sit here and feel the breeze in the moisture of the rain without getting wet. I just had a beautiful moment with a mother deer and her two fawns. We just kind of watched each other for a few moments as if to say that it was okay to take this time. A really nice start to a really beautiful morning.

Tonight I had a really strong set of memories pop up. It's about 10 at night and I'm getting ready to go somewhere. When I stepped outside it was Breezy and the moon was full, and I couldn't help but have a set of different memories all Clash in together and it almost took my breath away. So, my spouse forgot my birthday. It's not a big deal but I kind of feel like it is. So, I love my job. Sometimes I feel like so many people don't understand what we're doing throughout the year and I understand that often times I think people think I'm a lazy teacher.
