Powerless
I am beyong upset today. I can't cry. I can't scream. I can't do anything. I just feel so powerless. After my post yesterday, and after I voted....I really felt like my opinion and my vote had done some good and had made a difference. Now I'm sad because I feel that my voice wasn't heard. I totally agree on all counts. I really worry about how hateful and bigoted this country is going to become if the religious right gets its way and destroys civil rights and equality, setting us back decades. People are talking about how divided the country became during the campaign, and unfortunately, I think things will get worse before they get better. If the GOP uses its power to do that, almost half of the country is going to be fucking pissed. The shit's gonna hit the fan, and America's not going to be the same when the dust settles. Pretty damn scary...

Write letters, get involved, join an environmental group, join a human rights group, volunteer, just don't give up.
Use this as fuel to get involved and fight back for what you believe.
