i don't know what it is about boyfriends and families. they're TERRIFYING for some reason. but, if you want kisses bad enough, you can usually manhandle your way through the first few meetings. dads are the hardest, though. if he can get through a dinner with dad or mom and you only, you're totally golden. good luck.
well i can understand the first few months, but we've been doing this for two years, its just a bad situation overall, he is anxious around my parents because they Do treat him with hostility Because he always seems to flake out

I understand completely. I hate to admit it, but I'm the exact same way. I have horrible social anxiety. I'll get an invitation to do something that I REALLY WOULDN'T MIND doing, and I go ahead and tell myself that I'll be able to do it. I build all of this confidence up, but as I'm getting the call to show up-VERY LAST MINUTE, I just can't push myself out there...

yea, i can understand him having social anxiety around my parents, its just frustrating for me ya know? and it seems like thats exactly what he does, he gives himself pep talks all week and then when it comes down to T-minus 0 seconds he gets all nervous. i love him, with all my heart though.
