that was how I used to be at the gym before we changed to a gym where each machine has its own TV with cable. At my old gym, I could NOT work out without my ipod. I would get SO bored & trying to read the closed captions on the TV gave me a headache & made me lose my balance on the cardio machines. I would usually just go home if I forgot it or the battery was dead.
Even now, my husband gets so irritated b/c if I forget my headphones (to hear the TVs on the machines) at the new gym, you can buy a pair for 6$ from the desk. I would rather shell out 6$ if I forget them than work out in silence. Whenever I leave for the gym, he yells "Do you have your headphones?!" as I am walking out the door.
