I've seen this before, myself. My last real relationship ended the same way. Told to distance from me. I wish I could offer encouraging words with my story, but it ends very unhappily. We were only in high school, though. you ARE in college. While I know you're like me and still rely a lot on your parents' support, they really should accept that the time of their setting rules on your relationships has come to an end. Start subtlely, but, if need be, be as forceful as you have to be, because they need to know to back off. Otherwise you will always be a puppet. Be strong, and call sometime! :-p

Please, no need for that :-). I'm simply commenting, which is usually understood as being from the commenter's point of view. I'm sure your situation has it's own tale.

Sometimes God DOES put people in our life just to take them out of it!!! He does this to teach us a lesson or to enlighten us and to help us grow!! Just because you have HIM does NOT mean you have to keep!!!!! And I dont really know the whole story of you two but i believe your parents to be reasonable people and if they find it serious enough to start restricting your time with him, then maybe you should try to see it from their perspective and try to understand where they are coming from.... just a suggestion.
Sorry i didnt get to see you over the break; it was just too short and couldnt find any free time. But i will definitly see you over christmas break!!! you can count on it!!! i love you!!!!!
