I definately know what you mean. I often find that when I'm working I'll put on an old favourite. (Not that that phrase does it justice. The albums that split my soul into a million tiny pieces). And most of the time I'll listen to it because it's undeniably great. Nothing else, just a good album.

And then, only in a while, when I'm paying the least attention to what I'm listening to - it's then that I'm suddenly 17 again and I remember. And I don't just remember, I feel it like I did then. But actually I'm not sure that I do. The emotion is there, but the strength is not the same. But it still hits like a lightening bolt.
