today i bought some rsvp/reception cards.
i live 5 minutes (if that) from office max, but didn't really realize it until recently. i can't believe i've been going to staples all this time when office max is down the street, and has a way bigger selection of office supplies. we found packs of 50 rsvp/reception cards, so we bought two of those; their only two. we were going to inquire about having an address stamp made, but they were closing. we also went to michaels and (ew) walmart, but neither place had anything. office depot was right between the two stores, but they were closed. we got a really late start on the day. aaron said he was glad walmart didn't have anything because he doesn't want to buy anything for our wedding there. i don't really like to give them business either, but we are on a budget, and walmart is cheap.
the cards we bought are fold over cards (like standard thank you cards). so i decided to just combine the two things on one card as much as that is wrong. so the front will have the reception information, open it up and the inside has the rsvp information.
can ya'll check the wording and spelling and make sure it's ok?

also, what do you think of the "please be our guest" part? cute, because it's from beauty and the beast and the theme is fairy tale, or cheesy and too informal/clashes with the formal wording of everything else?

we want to get them printed off asap. unfortunately, one of the packs of cards i bought is messed up. one corner of the cards is bent. so i'm returning those. i'm going to be out with my florist and mom tomorrow, and i'll be right by an office depot, so i'll try there for the cards. if not there, hopefully they will be restocked at office max by my house.
i should have just ordered the rsvp/reception cards online when i found them for so cheap, but i waited because i wanted to see what the stores had, and now we are pressed for time. still, i got the two packs of cards for $40. they came with envelopes, which we aren't using, so maybe i will find/make thank you cards w/out envelopes. overall, a lot cheaper than ordering them from the invitation company (although these don't have the castles to match, and those would have been printed with embossing whereas i'm doing my own printing w/out embossing). makes the grand total for my invites w/out stamps only $170. i ordered more invites than needed. i just counted 93 households, and i have 125 invites. probably could have saved money there, but i didn't want to be short and everyone kept adding to the guest list.
tomorrow will be chalk full of wedding planning.
this wedding better be good. wedding planning has ceased to be fun.
~our luggage! form macys.
goes on sale like every weekend for $100. been as low as $60. the cheap price influenced us to register for it so someone could afford it, but it's also a rather good set with excellent reviews, and i like the color.
our casual plates. 6 dinner and 6 salad/dessert. from target.
our mikasa china from macys.
our glass drinkware. set of 8 from target.
then there's the little things that make a girl like me happy. like this:
several times i've said to aaron, "i want to make deviled eggs. awww, but we don't have the right kind of plate!" "honey, you don't need a special kind of plate to make em." "but those plates are sooo cool. it's half the fun!"
so i found one, and it's my favorite blue color. from target.
i found these great pillow cases, which we added from target.
good times.
i'm NOT putting this on the registry, but it made us laugh:
i'm not opposed to someone getting it for me though.
toss pillows from target:
the bedding we want:
(we want the comforter, the pillow shams, and the curtains, which are all in that pattern, plus the bedskirt which is the darker blue color. all from a discount website because they are discontinued from linens n' things.)
(the satin sheets and fuzzy blue blanket are from target. the electric blanket is from macys.)
we plan to pick out a set of warm sheets to go with that bedding too.
my laundry organizer i want, want, want from target.
my elephant humidifier from target.
