My supervisor told me that I don't have the qualities to make a good social worker during my evaluation. I'm not sure how I feel about this. She approaches me very negatively, and the other social workers at the placement positively. I'm not sure how to handle this situation since in every other situation in my life I've been accepted and also ( Read more... )

ouch. Don't give up though. If it's what you want to do..then go for it! Don't let one person put you down.

Can you try to get an alternate placement?

I've been at this placement for 20 weeks, and only have 10 weeks left to go. They don't typically change placements, and it isn't really worth it this late in the game. I will have a new placement for next year though so hopefully it'll be a better experience. I think I just need to reframe everything and take the feedback into consideration, but don't let it shape my life. :) Thanks for all of your comments.
