Very nice fic, but yes, a cruel ending. But I enjoy a good tease in fiction, and oh, I shivered at the moment where they kiss. And a fic that makes me swoon good, is a good fic. ;) Thank you!

I thought it was a little schmaltzy, but I figured that since this was in Laura's mind, it was a little justifiable to be more schmaltzy.
