Clark lost his friend first. Lex couldn’t take any more from Lionel. Luthorcorp became Lexcorp overnight. Kings and presidents attended the funeral. Clark couldn’t stomach what Lex had done, to protect him, and ended the friendship.
He lost his partner next. Out of the blue, Lois started dating Lex. Three months later, Lex bought Lois KGBS as a wedding present. She left the Daily Planet to present the 6 o’clock news, and the best reporting team in town was no more.
Now, they both wear Kryptonite jewellery to keep Superman away, and Clark wonders where it all went so wrong.
