Sending a congratulatory shout-out to Santonio Holmes, Super Bowl MVP, hailin' from THE Ohio state University.

Great game; I didn't really have a favorite but the underdog Cardinals gave the Steelers a tough one. I really thought they were going to pull it off.

It wasn't the holding penalty that did it alone. It means that the ball never got out of the endzone legally, and so it's a safety. If the ball is considered "down" in the endzone, either by sack or tackle (or by a penalty that kept it in the zone) then it's a safety. :)

Wow, thank you! I didn't know that. Is that a pro-only rule?

My understanding of a safety was if the qb is tackled in the end zone w the ball or the ball carrier does not break the plane.
That's as bad as the one point safety I saw in a game awhile back :)
