Hey Laura- hopefully you remember me from fiction last year. I still read it and look forward to your recipes. I never actually make them but they always look yummy and I'm always jealous of those who get to eat all the food you make. Maybe someday I will make something when I branch out from box and bagged mixes.

I think of our old fiction class sometimes during the class I took this semester with Rachel. People talk without raising their hands and I think of the day you stared at me eating pretzels in order to get me to notice that Kaitlyn never raised her hand either.

Gardner Dozois makes some damn good SF collections-- when I took the SF/Fantasy course for the second time with Katharyn we read his collection "Modern Classics of Science Fiction," and in it I found one of my current favorite stories of all time: The Moon Moth, by Jack Vance.

In other news! My application to Simmons has been received and last I heard they were waiting on my letters of recommendation, so hopefully I'll have more news soon.
