Anthony Bourdain said that when he travels, especially in France, he loves to reread Down and Out in Paris and London. I read it, and it sure makes me feel grateful for what I've got. Since hearing about what he likes to read when he's abroad, I'm curious about other people.

These sound awesome, and I don't think I've read any of them. I bought my mother Eat, Pray, Love because you'd recommended it. It seems to be a really important book to her now, the sort of thing she should read once a year. I think I'll borrow it when she's finished.

Would you like some books for your travels, maybe? Or would you rather stumble across them as you go?

Eat, Pray, Love is one of the most important books I have read in my life. It was a life changer for me...I can see how it wouldn't be for everyone, but I highly recommend it Sue :)

L. Your list is very interesting. I have only read a few, perhaps I will check out some of the others!
