Oh, NY. :) I need to make my way up there sometime soon. Magnolia cupcakes are just too delicious sounding right now.

Your list is shocking to me. I don't think I could name 10 take-me-home things about the Twin Cities, let alone a gazillion.

Let's see, there's . . . uh . . . my house and . . . uh . . . my yard . . . and . . . er . . . um . . .

. . . and apparently I live 90% inside my head and 10% out in my back yard. There is no sense of place for me here. That makes me sad. But then again maybe it doesn't, because I've always lived where I do, metaphysically anyway.

Were you back when I was there last weekend? Your list, more well thought out than mine ever could be (as I just think of things in flashes when there)--it makes me homesick for what I left.
But I have 6 words for you (that you may not know, or if you do, why is this not on your list?):

Heya! I was sadly not back when you were in town... I wish I was. Happy belated birthday to you! Are you planning any other trips to the city soon? I'm not home yet, but I will be in about a week. Not. Soon. Enough.

I'll be back in September (mid-to-late, probably). What's funny is that I've been thinking about your list and it's similar to how I feel about NYC. I wondered if I could do that for DC, but I've not been able to come up with anything like that. Hmm.
So when I'm in NYC, and you are as well, we must find some time to catch up, please? Or, if you're not done traveling, my place here is always open to you.

Damn, girl. You've made ME miss New York. That's sayin' something.

Glad you're coming home. I'll be sure to meet up with you when I get back out there.
