I think one of the shells I picked up is still alive. Or there's something still alive inside it. I'll find out soon, I guess, because I just washed the sand off of them in my bathroom sink and laid them out on the top of the cabinet to dry ( Read more... )

Our trick for shells. 15 seconds in the microwave kills any and all. Just put it on top of a paper towels after rinsing. :)

this reminded me of the single, flaily roach lying on its back in b's apartment that weekend we were there in the snow.

and how we were both horrified and grossed out. but i knew i was going to have to deal with it, because you were definitely not. even without asking i knew you would not.

i smiled, remembering that.
