Monday night was the SELF soiree for all the people taking english classes at the school. It was pretty fun but nonstop strobe lights in the place were making me feel sick so I left kind of early (1am is early). Good pictures were taken though. Friday night, our friend Hector came by and he, Claire and I went to find some dinner. We got some kebabs and then stopped in at a little pub, got some beers, watched a little soccer, and came home.

After 6 days, we FINALLY got to do something touristy. Today, we went to the Musée des Beaux-Arts. It's in a former 17th century Benedictine abbey right on the Place des Terreaux. The Place des Terreaux is a beautiful square that contains a huge fountain and the Hotel de Ville. About 90% of the pictures and books about Lyon show this square. The ( Read more... )

I completely moved out of my house today. By tonight I'll have everything packed into my suitcases. I got my advising agreement completely signed and turned in so I can actually get UNCC credits for the classes I'll be taking in Lyon.
