my text is all bold and big now, though. what do you think that's all about? I have the comp set on the second highest res, so I don't think that's it...

It depends on where the text is big and bold, everywhere? just on your desktop? in certain programs?

it appears to be everywhere, particularly on livejournal! I tried to change my default font in firefox (my OS), but I don't think it has made a difference.

no kidding! I feel a little guilty now for being annoyed about ordering this plate my mom really wants from England (though, their customer service is RIDICULOUSLY terrible)... do you use a mac?
