SCD: Week 6

Oct 24, 2009 19:05

Jade & Ian:
I can't put my finger on why I didn't enjoy that as much as I feel like I should have, because it was pretty good. The only thought springing to mind is a lack of grace, which seems an odd thought to have for a samba. I think maybe there's just a certain factor I need to see in people for me to enjoy them dancing, even if they can do the steps, and I don't think Jade has it, whatever that is. (8, 8, 8, 8.)

Chris & Ola:
Nice! He needs to sort his hands out though, both his free hand when they're out of hold and the hand on Ola's back when they're in hold - which is horribly splayed. Why did the other judges look all disagreeable when Craig mentioned the hands? He was right! (7, 7, 7, 7.)

Phil & Katya:
Missed part of that one so I'll have to go back later, but what I saw wasn't too bad I didn't think. Listening to the judges comments now, I should probably reserve judgement. (6, 7, 6, 6.)

Zoe & James:
Oh no!! Such a shame, it was stunning apart from whatever put them off! Oh no, dress malfunction. Until that happened with the dress stuff I had them on for possibly a ten. HAHAHAHAHA Len!! (8, 8, 9, 8.)

Craig & Flavia:
Bless him, he was singing all the way through! A little skippy in places though. And in others... well, not brilliant, but mostly enjoyable anyway. (3, 6, 4, 5.) Wow, has Alesha ever gone that low before?

Ricky & Erin:
I do like the variety of using a Viennese Waltz, I loved Jill and Darren doing it, but I'm not sure it was the right choice here. His basic steps were a little skippy. His performance was good though. (7, 8, 7, 7.)

Ricky & Natalie:
Is it wrong I was kinda glad it didn't go perfectly?! *g* Wow, Bruno's getting himself quite worked up about good people making mistakes this year! (8, 8, 8, 8.)

Natalie & Vincent:
I wish Natalie looked a little more comfortable in hold. And that her arms were a little more fluid and soft out of hold. She's obviously working very hard, getting her routines, and enjoying herself a lot in the process, but I guess she's just not got the natural ability to give that final polish. Wow I feel harsh tonight. (7, 8, 7, 7.)

Jo & Brendan:
I did actually wonder right at the beginning if this might have been a good one for Jo. But then... oh dear. I do think Brendan was doing a brilliant job of keeping her going though, he was obviously making a real effort. lol Len! That was a lovely comment from him though. Hahahaha I am so not surprised the "dance disaster" comment came out! (2, 5, 3, 4.) Okay, so now Alesha's gone lower than a 4! Bless Jo though, I do want her to go, but I almost, almost want her to have one more week and get one dance right! (I don't think it would happen though!)

Ali & Brian:
Bruce, stop with the damn relationship jokes! It's getting repetitive and it's unnecessary. *watches* Ali is back on top form yay! That was gorgeous. :-D (9, 9, 9, 10.) I'm only slightly annoyed they beat Zoe and James into top place on the leaderboard, given they'd beaten Ricky and Natalie! It would have been nice for Zoe and James to come top after their bottom two nightmare last week.

Laila & Anton:
Why did I not realise until tonight that these two had samba instead of American Smooth? Eek, I so wish that wasn't true. *watches* That was a lot better than I expected, I must say. I'm interested that the judges seem a little down on the choreography though, it very much makes me think of what I was saying last week. Poor Anton though, he looked crestfallen that he was being criticised. (7, 7, 7, 7.)

Ooh, the professionals dancing a jive!! (Though without Karen, which makes me sad.)

Ricky G doing a rumba next week? I'm not sure I can picture that.

Next week/this week? Was that link really so difficult Bruce?

Wow though, that dance was fabulous! (Their costumes a little less so...) It's kind of a shame the celebs have to watch that from backstage, poor people!

Oooh, I do love this song. *crosses fingers for Anton and Erin to come on* Ok, someone come on... Oh yay! It is them! :-)

I do get bored with the "this means so much because..." montages. I know they have time to fill whilst people get changed and such, but it's not like anyone's going to turn around and say "You know what, if I go out, I don't really mind. I didn't really want to be here anyway. Bring on the time off."

Dance Off:
Okay, come on, they really could be saying Zoe and James earlier to put them out of their misery, assuming here the unthinkable hasn't happened again. I'm actually starting to get worried. If this is for dramatic effect it's cruel. Leaving her fourth from last?!?!?!?! But YAY FINALLY!!!!!!!! Aww, poor Jo. She knows she's gone in this one, and I really didn't think both Jos would go out one after the other! It'll be the right result though. This is third place with the judges in the bottom two again though, isn't it. Weird. Come on Jo, at least get your routine right. HAHAHAHA! Brendan so knows they're out anyway, so amused by the lift! I can't even be annoyed about it, I actually love him for it. Why not make it fun? Jo looks like she's enjoying it. Good on them. Okay Craig didn't have to be so short! Alesha handled it better. Bruno, you too?! You could have been nicer! And I will say it again, Brendan has handled having a shit partner amazingly this year. With the exception of walking out last week, he's been brilliant! Aww bless her going on Brendan's tour with him! lol at Craig singing again! Len wasn't joining in so much this week though, which makes me sad.
