Merlin 1x10 The Moment of Truth
Oh my god! THIS SHOW! ♥ I love this show so much. There are not words enough to describe my fangirlish glee. And this episode! Oh my god. This was like reading (really good) fanfic! You don't need your slash googles on, they do all the work for you! The only thing missing, really, was the hot sex. But this is the BBC and it's prime time family viewing, so perhaps I will forgive them. Oh and slash dragon. Where was the slash dragon? Merlin's mum came through and channeled slash dragon for a bit, so I feel that he was there in spirit.
I think my favouritest bit was when Arthur and Merlin were lying awake talking and Arthur shoved Merlin's head with his foot. THIS IS SO ARTHUR SPEAK FOR "I LOVE YOU".
I also loved and adored the scene on the battlements where Arthur was all "You are the worst servant ever" and Merlin just grinned and grinned and grinned because that is Arthur speak for "I love you" as well.
And GAH! I loved them sitting by the fire chatting. When Arthur forgets that he's meant to be bossing Merlin around, he treats him like an equal and a friend. And then when the boys were sitting outside Merlin's mum hut with Arthur being all vulnerable and "we're doomed" and Merlin being all supportive and advice-giving. A beautiful foreshadowing of the future. I love how Merlin takes Arthur's fears and his worries and his weaknesses and keeps them safe so Arthur can go and be the leader everyone else needs him to be.
Other moments that filled me with glee were Gaius teasing Merlin about getting drunk. And then the hug! And the girls going with Merlin. And the girls talking about how important Merlin is to Arthur and MERLIN OVERHEARING.
My love for this show knows no bounds. ♥ ♥ ♥
