Australia: Qualifying

JENS AND RUBENS ONE AND TWO. OMGOMGOMG! ♥ ♥ ♥ MY JOY CANNOT BE TEXTUALLY RENDERED.

I.... just.... Oh, boys! For so much of last year they were struggling to even get into Q2. And now here they are going fastest in all three sessions and ending up one-two on the grid. I am sitting here grinning like a moron and bouncing on the sofa, as my (rather-amused) flat-mate will attest to. This has totally MADE MY DAY MONTH YEAR!

Some other people did quite well too. Especially Nico. ♥ Fastest in saturday practice too, I hear. And flying in quali. THIS MAKES ME HAPPY! \o/ It is a shame he couldn't covert fastest-in-all-three-practices into a front row grid slot, but he still did incredibly well; and he looked comfortable in all three sessions - hopefully this is the start of a good year for him.

Sebastian Vettel did a great job as well and Robert Kubica too; that's good to see. I was concerned that Sebastian might have found himself at a disadvantage given the relative performance of Red Bull and Toro Rosso last year, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Mark Webber did well to get into the top 10 as well.

Other people did less well. Lewis 15th in quali 1. WTF? Lewis with no time set in quali 2 and Heikki 14th. WTF? What's going on McLaren? Would have expected Fernando and Nick to get through to the top 10 too. There are crazy things happening here!

I am so happy to have my racing back again. And so very pleased for Brawn GP. I can't wait until tomorrow, it's going to be an awesome race.

Jens. ♥ Rubens. ♥ Nico. ♥ SQUEE!
