Malaysia: Grand Prix
WOW! What a fantastic race! It was so exciting! Even before the rain set in there was loads of overtaking and loads of action, it was really fun to watch. Of course then the rain came in and oh MAN!
Nico got such a brilliant start, I was just... WOW! He shot off that line and left everyone else behind so easily. He pulled out a reasonable gap too. It's shame that he only came in 8th in the end because he deserved better after that strong performance. Still, points (or rather half-points) are better than nothing at all!
AND JENSON WON AGAIN! OMG! I AM SO EXCITED BY THIS! He drove a great race - he drove beautifully in the rain - he really deserved the win.
Timo and Toyota were very smart to start off on inters and then move onto wets, that strategy paid them back handsomely and they deserved their result. I was sad when it turned out that he and Nick had to swap results; Nick drove superbly so I felt he deserved all the points he got. But Timo did equally well and he thought he had second but then it was taken away from him. Still, third is also good!
I'm glad they stopped the race when they did, it would have been foolish (and incredibly dangerous!) to have continued. It was incredibly confusing though as to who was where! It's a shame that they didn't get to 3/4 race distance, it was such an exciting race and they all showed so much skill, they really did deserve full points. They really worked hard for all of those points today and I felt that today they were more deserving of points than in many races in the past when they have all just driven around for a bit and stopped for petrol a couple of times. But that's life, I guess. Half points are better than no points.
