This weekend I traveled to Stirling for a two-day long Ultimate tournament. It was really my first experience traveling in Scotland NOT as a tourist, which feels very different. mm you're so right about that. since i've gotten to umich, i think my clumsiness has increased x 1,000,000. i can't tell you how many times i've tripped on stairs... just about everytime i walk on them... usually in front of people, like entire lecture halls :o) i like to see how different people react to the tripping. some people are genuinely concerned: "oh no!! are you okay???" others are like "::trying not to laugh:: umm... nice one. you okay?" and still others pretend not to see so i might be spared some embarassment :o) i just laugh and walk away... i can't imagine trying to exist with my american tendencies in another country for such a long period of time. be confident!! you're doing a great job!! (i'm assuming. i'm not actually there with you to verify this, but i have a hunch...) ;o) love ya!
