if you like candy (or even if you don't - you will after this) read candyfreak by steve almond. it's a tiny book and it's so funny i couldn't breathe at times from laughing so hard. if we have a glitter get-together before your trip, i'll loan it to you (but i NEED it back, this is one of my favorite books to read before bed!).

the fluffiest book i have read to date is bergdorf blondes by plum sykes. i'm actually reading it right now. it's incredibly stupid, but if you want books you don't have to think about, this is the ultimate. it just came out in paperback.

sex drugs and cocoa puffs by chuck klosterman, if you haven't read it, is a terrific "light" book. it's a series of essays on pop culture, and they're all very funny and interesting, but it's one of those books that you can pick up and open to any page and read from there - you don't have to follow a story. it's also in paperback.

Oh perfect! I've only read his Christmas book and Me Talk Pretty One Day. Thanks for reminding me of him!

I don't really do fluffy, but if you get the chance, read Ian McEwan's "Atonement".
