I have pulled my neck reaching for things that were really out of my reach several times.
The first time it happened I felt so betrayed by my body. It used to let me do crazy things like reach into the backseat of a car while keeping my eyes on the road that I was barreling down at 80 miles per hour with no problem.
But not anymore.
In my experience this tends to happen when I'm stressed out and carrying a lot of that stress in my shoulders/neck. They are already tense and then I do the wrong thing and it's pain for days.
Once when cleaning a paintbrush with paint thinner, the paint thinner took multiple layers of skin off my hands, so they were very sensitive to the touch for about a week. Does that count?

Dan's first comment when I told him about this was that I was "obviously getting old."
Sad.
