I loved that book. Yes, it's relevant today, but maybe it's an Orange Thing that's overshadowing us, not a Black Thing.

Yes, the shadow is now Dark Orange. Alas!

The book is a fast reread -- I revisited it a few months ago when the movie adaptation (to be directed by Ava DuVernay!!) was announced.

Cheers and good thoughts on a bad day.

It's a fast reread, and most of it holds up well.

Hugs on this bad day, A.

I had to look this quote up today when I read that

"in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach." - J.R.R. Tolkien

I've never read A Wrinkle in Time. I don't think it's as well known in the UK as it is in the U.S. or at least it wasn't when I was young.

Many, many hugs.

Oh, it's time to reread Tolkien, isn't it.

A Wrinkle in Time is about to be adapted for film by Ava DuVernay, which is very cool. I revisited the book when the news of the movie came out.

Cheers and hugs to you, K. Better days for all, on both sides of the pond!

My son is reading this in his LA class, I'll admit I never have but he seems to like it.

It's going to be a movie soon, so you could be justified in borrowing your son's book in preparation. :)

Happy Friday!
