I seem to find it totally ironic that while a presumed Death Eater attack is going to come any minute in the castle, at all, the Houses are starting to distance themselves from each other, what with all the inter-school fighting. You could say the Death Eaters already HAVE done something to the school... unknowingly. :o Just an interesting

Maybe it's because the Dark Mark had to get there some how so it's generally assumed that it would be a Slytherin, so they're lashing out and everyone else is getting defensive in return.
