I finally saw Blade Runner last week! I feel culturally slightly less behind now.

Heh! I haven't seen it in so long it's almost as if I haven't seen it (not even exaggerating, I don't remember much of it anymore beyond the look & feel). Have been meaning to revisit it but the thing with Blade Runner is first I have to decide which version to watch (if I recall correctly there's not simply a theatrical version and a director's cut but some other versions as well).

After a short debate between the other people in the room, we watched the director's cut. (Or, for all I know, one of several director's cuts...) The big difference is the lack of voiceover, as I understand it.

I stopped watching all shows I'd subscribed to that had long the conspiracy-based arcs, and am much happier. Goodbye, Quantico, Blindspot, Shades of Blue, Blacklist, Frequency, and Timeless. Some of these may be objectively good shows, but the worldview is so stupid/annoying/frustrating (pick at least one) that they were driving me crazy.

I'm just about to finish watching the entire run of Rizzoli and Isles, after having read a bunch of the books. It's interesting to see where they deviate.

And I'm still liking Elementary a lot, though it's had its ups and downs. (And I spotted a copy of Applied Cryptography on a coffee table in a recent episode, so how can I not like that?)

I started watching The Almighty Johnsons with lydy, and that's been fun. Mostly fluffy, but fun.

I've also been watching The Great British Bake Off and the corresponding An Extra Slice episodes with 1crowdedhour.

And I'm contemplating a West Wing rewatch. Can't decide if that would be comforting or depressing.
