ORC Revisited, Part II

Here's the rest of the weekend!

Saturday:

I have to admit that Saturday is still a bit of a blur. I am not usually the type of person to be "star-struck" but getting to meet Sean Astin, Billy Boyd, and ELIJAH WOOD all in one day? I'm still surprised I wasn't drooling! ( Read more... )

Such a wonderful report! You just brought it all back to me. But what I really want to know is how you managed to always be a row ahead of me in line? *g*

I think that the main thing that struck me about them is that they were such genuinely nice guys. And that's not always true of actors, so all the more credit to them. I sure hope they realized (and I think that they did) how much all the fans there appreciated their genuine involvement with, and passion for, these films, and those of us that love them.

and hey, girl, how ya doin?

Glad to bring back such great memories! I agree -- all of the guys impressed me with their graciousness and their down-to-earth natures. God knows, it would be so easy for them to get big heads but they seem to have avoided that pitfall to a large degree.

As to how I'm doin' -- I'm fine. Getting back to reality ain't easy, as you well know, but knowing how many new friends I've been blessed enough to meet makes it easier. Meeting you was a pure pleasure and one of the highlights of the convention. Keep in touch, ok? (Or as they say down here in Georgia: Don't be a stranger, heah?)

*rolls eyes and grins*

Many hugs to you!!

I love Wild Mountain Thyme and was so happy to hear it! I'm bummed to know how little food there was. I'd run and wolfed down dinner, since I was one of the costumed presenters for the evening and figured I definitely couldn't count on eating at the buffet. But what a disappointment to know that there was hardly any food...period! :(

Anyway, I'm glad that it was still an ok part of the evening, in spite of starting late and food shortages. :)

OMG, Chris, Ali and Elijah...so damn cute. This was the first time I read that Chris was there, too. Thanks a lot for this lovely report. Makes my day :-)
