Thanks for reading! My beta said that I was an evil witch to leave off where I did. And I replied, "Yesssssss!"

Poor Frodo, struggling with his love and desires, and poor Sam too pushed away by his beloved Master...
Can't wait to read the next part, this chapter was so sad and intense!

Yeah, this one was a real angst-fest indeed. Both Sam and Frodo are suffering so!

I hope to work on Chapter 9 this weekend, but kids come in at the darnedest times!

Oh they sure do! And they bring their friends with them! My daughter was showing her friend something on our computer and I wasn't really paying attention until I heard her friend say "Are Sam and Frodo kissing?"

Arrgh! They'd stumbled across the gifs that make up my icon!

My daughter smoothly moved on to another screen, casually remarking, "Nope, you're seeing things"

Hi Melanie,

OMG! I laughed so hard at this!!! But I know exactly what you mean. I have two children, boys at that, and they are so dadgum nosey. Always wanting to look over my shoulder. Really irks me.

Smart daughter... smooth... I applaud her : )

I love how well you combined the movie-verse with Frodo's thoughts and emotions, very nice.
And poor Sam, not knowing what he can do to make his Frodo happy...

I'm excited to read the next chapter, dear!! :)

*hugs*

I drove the kids nuts watching that one scene from FOTR about nine times!

I don't know who I feel sorrier for -- Frodo or Sam.

I'm glad you're enjoying reading this. I'm having a ball writing it!

*hugs to you*

You know, I have the strangest feeling that I've read this story before... Somewhere on a yahoo.group... Maybe my mind is just playing tricks on me...

Nope, it's not. I posted this story, in an unedited form, on a Yahoo group in 2003. However, now it is in its "New and Improved" form. *grin* There are additional chapters and much editing.

If you do remember the story well(cool!), I hope you like this revised version better.
