.. I have never had a landlord that is quite this ready to do absolutely nothing to repair their own property. Seriously. My brain cannot wrap itself around the idea of a landlord that would pay hundreds - perhaps thousands - of dollars to replace hardwood flooring in a three bedroom house, but leaves a bathroom stained black with mildew upon

you could always work a deal or try to work a deal about you buying a new one and it being taken out of the rent...thats what my brother used to do alot.....

I'd be fine with that, but D.C.'s theory seems to be that any replacement and repairs will come out of our pocket, and will not reimbursed.
