Hey hun, no you don't have to make a whole new account. When updating your live journal in the gray box below where you would type in your entry there is a thing that say "security:" right beside that is a triangle that can be pulled down and it will give you 3 options one is "Private" this means no one but you can read your entries, then there is "public" which means anyone can read what you type if they go onto your lj and then there is "friends" meaning only your friends can see your lj entries. You want the "friends" option. But remember you have to do this every time you make a new entry! Also you can go back to your old entries and change them all to "friends" so you don't have to make a new journal! If your still totally lost ask me on msn ok?
