After living in AK for a few years, I became very fond of bears.
So all you have to do is move to Alaska, because you don't have a choice, you'll have to deal with bears....and then you'll end up loving them. :-D

Just remember they are more afraid of you, then you are of them, and they would rather be doing something else, besides thinking or dealing with humans. Just like you'd rather be doing something else, and not thinking about bears.

Dear Lauren, The bears are afraid of you unless you interfere with their young or food. They tend to pass by. The important thing is to keep food away from them and keep your garbage tightly sealed inside the garage until it is time to take it out in the morning. Don't leave it out overnight. That works in New jersey but not where you are. They are nocturnal so that's why you usually don't see them. They tend to come out in the early evening. You have to keep your head cool and don't do anything that draws them to your house as in food smells. Don't bake or cook at night in the warmer seasons if oyu house is ground level. My parents designed their house so the patio is up and bears just haven't come around except ratrely to pass by. Don't take early morning or early evening or night walks ( ... )

Hi Lauren, I noticed you posted this at 7:11 PM. That's about when I saw a bear in August that time. I think they wake up just an hour or so before it gets dark. That would be a good indicator as to when to stay away. Take your time about this. Hang out in your yard and take walks in the daytime. Diana

Rescue Remedy is a mix of...

Rock Rose ...Cherry Plum...Clematis...Impatiens...and Star of Bethlehem...so if you've got any of those...put two drops of each one in a large glass of water...and sip it throughout the day.

Mimulus is for known fears...Aspen is for unknown fears.

Thought you might like to have this information.

Good things to you, Edee

Thanks, Edee...it's hard to understand how these flower essences are able to help like that....you use these yourself and they really work?
