Still Alive!

Thanks to kingspensluv13  for the nudge and reminder to tell everyone that I'm still alive and here.

Living with the in-laws sucks.  (I sense gioiamia  nodding wisely here.) I spent November being ignored by the mom inlaw because I rewashed two loads of laundry.  (Suprisingly, I didn't respond nicely to the comment of, "So, how many times do you wash the same load of ( Read more... )

Living with the in-laws DEFINITELY sucks. Do y'all have a guess on how long you'll be staying?

And I can't believe Liam's walking already at 9 months!!! WOW! That's pretty dang awesome, especially for a 1st born! My observation has been that without a sibling to chase around, few 1st borns walk before they're 1. I'm impressed!

I saw your nudge about the Beekeeper's Apprentice on Shelfari, so I'm adding this to my library request list now. Thanks!

We're here until we get a house, so we're trying to save up money to fix the credit reports and for our down payment. I swear, I am OUT by summer or else I'll lose my mind. I hate feeling guilty about everything, being completely ignored or blamed for things and not being able to make any decisions about the house. Don't even get me started on how I'm ignored 1/2 the time about Liam. Grr.

He's been pretty determined to walk and just be moving around. He's hates being carried at home because he wants to see things. At stores, he's content because he likes to look at everything, but at home it's a different story.

Beekeeper is really good AND a series, so I'm excited about it. I got the next three from Amazon for 30 bucks, so I thought that was a deal.

Just got notified by the library that they have Beekeeper waiting for my pickup. Yay!

And I completely sympathize with the in-law/housing situation. Sounds extremely familiar. Yuck. If you haven't done so already, you should probably talk to a mortgage broker to get some advice about what you specifically need to do. We didn't end up needing a downpayment to buy a house because we got an 80%/20% mortgage. Our credit definitely wasn't perfect, but the housing market is bad enough that they're willing to overlook a lot. If we hadn't talked to a mortgage broker when we did, we STILL wouldn't be in a house, because we weren't fixing the right things on our credit report. Some of the things we were worried about were irrelevant, and some of the things we blew off turned out to be significant.

Liam sounds like Jason's son, that's for sure! How very cool that he's so determined and so strong!

Oh, also... At our realtor's advice, we worked with 3 mortgage brokers initially, because they all have their favorite lenders they like to work with. We ended up going with the one who could find us the best deal.
