well, we can take it one step at a time and help you code a layout. What you usually want to do first is make your header image, which you already have. Image maps are tricky. Do you have a computer program that makes the image map?

Hey, how do you keep the "Friends only" thing at the top? For me, unless one is not logged in, it's just a forgotten post somewhere in the depths of livejournal-ness.
