Dustin Lance Black's speech was amazing. I had tears in my eyes from it, I can't help it. I don't even have to watch the rest of the broadcast because his was/will be the best.

ETA 1: Ok, Kunio Kato's has to be second.

ETA 2: I flipped back to Cold Case and heeeeyyyy George Hazard (right) is guest starring! ILU George ( Read more... )

Oooh, can you send me the album?

I told my mum that I'd only be watching bits and pieces of the Oscars. So much for that...

Most definitely. And so much for that indeed. I didn't plan on watching the Oscars at all and I watched almost the whole thing. Whoops.

Can you email me with your actual email address??? I can only find your uog one right now for some reason. Odd.

I really want to see Slumdog Millionaire too. The lead guy I liked when he was in Skins and I wanted to see it before I wanted to see it before it started winning everything and now I really need to find it.

I'm the same. I'd heard it was good but wanted to see a few other things first. Now that it's won so many awards I should just take the time to watch it.

Her dad whistling was the greatest I have to agree. About freakin' time she won...and I loved her "I've had this speech since I was eight in front of the bathroom mirror with a shampoo bottle...well it's not a shampoo bottle anymore, is it?' as she holds the Oscar...SO GOOD.
And part of me really enjoyed seeing Sean Penn look so shaky and vulnerable. I mean, I think he is an incredible actor, and I know he's got his rough edges as a person and I've never really paid that much attention to them...I just like seeing these people that fashion themselves as big macho guys show their weak points. It's like 'hey, yeah, they're human after all!'.

"I want to be very clear that I do know how hard I make it to appreciate me, often." That was my favourite part of his speech. And the commie, homo-loving part.

Kate Winslet can do no wrong.
