Yup, it's my favorite pagan holiday. Here are some quick book recs to get you in the mood:

• Ghost Story: OK, not very Halloweeny, but if you haven't read this, what are you waiting for? So good, it actually makes the prior book better by existing. Theological errors/inconsistencies aside.

Yes, Ghost Story was fabulous, and I think I'm going to have to check out the others when I have some extra cash.

I actually had some difficulty with Call of Cthulhu. I'm not sure how it could have been avoided given the time period, but the notion of a hugely powerful primordial evil that could nonetheless be successfully injured with a paddlewheel steamboat (I think I've remembered that correctly) seriously strained my suspension of disbelief. The others I haven't read, but will add to the list of those I ought to.

And I agree -- it's my favorite pagan holiday as well.
