What a cutie!

Enjoy singing to her while you can. Mine would always enjoy it until they got to be 2 or 3 and then it was "Don't sing, Grandma!"

lol

Mine are going to be stuck with hearing me sing, even if it's not to put them to sleep. I sing all the time while I'm doing chores.

Yep, she's babbling now and smiling a lot and will gum the hell out of my finger (teething).

She looks like a beautiful pink rose. :-)))

P.S. I think you will be a sterling musical influence on your grandbabies. Just sayin' :-))

Ah, ha. You know that her name is Meridian Rose, so that comment is very tongue in cheek.

I wonder if the boys will remember bouncing them on my big exercise ball to the tune of Metallica doing Whiskey in the Jar?

I put on some of Runrig's music and Hugo just dances his little toes off.

Meridian will get her turn, too.

In other news, still writing the rest of the big bang. Roger decided that he could trust me with mowing the lawn yesterday while he tried to fix the weed eater so there went my writing time. Too bad he waited until it's almost knee high, it would have been easier and less time consuming a few weeks ago.

Tongue in cheek? Moi? Surely you must be mistaken. :-))

I hope the boys and Meridian remember all the wonderful things you're doing with them and grow up loving music just as much as you do.

Mowing instead of writing... mowing knee high grass instead of writing... yep, I can see the down side there if I squint and look hard. :-) That's okay, you'll get there. I've mostly beta'd the first bit and just enjoying being back in your story-telling hands so much.

I mowed the rest of the lawn this evening, and according to my pedometer, I walked two miles doing it. I think I'm giving myself the day off for walking on the treadmill tonight. Honest to god, you could have baled our lawn. ::side eyes my husband:: I don't mind mowing it but he kept saying he was going to do it. It would have been a lot easier a month ago.

I've written more, but still not done. Hopefully after supper.

She is so beautiful. Laurie, I didn't know that you had a new grandbaby. How exciting. What's her name?

Thank you. She was born at the end of January at home, and so damn fast (after waiting a week) that I didn't get there, nor did her other grandmother or the midwife. Her father and mother caught her as she was born and she was born with a caul. We've had fun looking up the old legends and superstitions about that ( ... )
