Prompt: Cozy Night at Home gone wrong.

Jack cuddled up against his wife. A fire blazed in the hearth. The scent of her hair filled his nostrils. After all the years they had spent apart, every night together was precious.
She smiled up at him and handed him a piece of pop corn. He laughed and after he ate it, grabbed a handful. Their two youngest children were upstairs in bed. Supposedly sleeping, but with ten year olds, who knew?
"Did you want to watch something tonight, or just talk?" he asked.
"I think watching the fire and maybe some necking would be delightful."
"Don't you think we're a little old for necking, Seph?"
"You're never too old, Jack. As your grandmother proved to me just the other day."
"Oh no."
"Oh yes, where do you keep the brain bleach?"
"It disappeared about the time I turned ten I think. What has been seen can not be unseen."
"Oh well."
Just then he raised his head. Sephy knew by now what that meant. The Master was talking to him. She waited, trying to push aside the disappointment tainted with resentment. In the last twelve years, she could count the number of these calls on one hand. The five decades before had been a bit different though.
Finally he looked back at her and she could see the sorrow, the regret, the apology written across his face.
"It's okay." She preempted him. "Who is it?"
"Cayenne."
"Oh, Jason."
Jack nodded.
"Go, I'll be here when you return. Just tell him I love him."
"I will. I love you."
"I love you too, Jack."
