Writer's Bingo Sign-Up!

Feb 02, 2015 20:05

Hi guys!  Here is where you sign up!  I'm including the sign-up rules below, as well as a guide to follow when you comment. The rules for writing your pieces are here.

I hope these are clear, if you have any questions message me, please do not ask them in comments here.  I promise I don't bite. :D

Rules:
1) Comment to this post saying you want to join the Bingo.

2) After you've posted to sign up, give prompts to other players.  For now don't give more than 5 to each player.  If people are having trouble getting enough prompts later, that may change, but for now 5 is the limit.  (You don't HAVE to give prompts to other players to play, and you don't have to play to give prompts.  However, if you want to get prompts, it IS nice to give them.  Also feel free to ask your friends to come and give you prompts and suggest that while they're there they can give out prompts to other people too.)

3) When you get enough prompts, pick out twenty-four (24).  You may want to wait until the last week or last few days to do this in case a late comer gives you something awesome, but if you want to do it early that's fine too.  If you wish to combine one or more prompt into a single prompt this is fine, but it will only count as one prompt.

4) Create a bingo card with the graphics program of your choice, or if you find one on the internet to use, that's fine as well.  Just make sure that it has twenty-five (25) blank squares (24 prompts and 1 free square in the center), and that they're big enough to fit your prompts in.  Mark the center square as free, and fill in the rest with the prompts you've chosen.

5) Link your card here in the comments before you post your first piece. You can post it after March 1, 2015, but you can't post pieces until your link is up, so it will give you less time.

That's it for the rules section.  Now comes the guide I promised.  When you make your comment about wanting to join Bingo, you might also want to include the following info as well.
Name: This can be your real name, your internet nickname, your LJ name, whatever it is you want to go by.
What I'd Like/Not Like for prompts: Do you prefer more specific prompts, or more general?  Do you like lyrics but not four or five line quotes?  Do you absolutely love writing smut, or do you want to stay away from it like a plague?  This is the place to put your preferences.
Stories/Characters/Etc: Do you have something specific in mind you want to focus on during this event?  Do you want to open it up to anything?  Is there something you want to say that might help your prompters that wasn't covered in the section above, put it here.

That's pretty much it.  So sign up, give prompts, and generally have a wonderful February!  I hope to see your pieces come March!
