Stuff happens.... get over it.

I heard about the space shuttle... and well, I know it'll sound selfish, but I feel nothing. Nothing at all. I would say I'm a flat person, but, suprisingly, I don't think of myself as flat at all. I'm such a bag of emotions, usually. But even after 9/11 we had this school assembly. The whole school was watching the news and crying and I was just ( Read more... )

Well, the whole 9/11 thing was sort of enlarged in my area, cos I live pretty close to the state of New York. I was in Art class when it occured and I was informed of the incident about 5 minutes after the first plane crashed. My whole class started joking about terrorists and crap, we didn't think it was really a terrorist act. But then somewhere between then and the end of the day, EVERYBODY was crying. I just don't get it. Hawaii IS pretty isolated, though... you're lucky to be protected. I don't think anything of this sort would really happen in your area. At least I hope not!

Yes, the whole thing is really being overadvertised. I think the U.S. is trying to play up the whole 'we-are-so-concerned-for-our-citizens-act' in light of the Iraq bomb threats. It makes it look as if we love our nice little scientests and astronauts who work for our country, but we bomb people who are disloyal. It really is a threatning messege, but err... maybe I'm just reading into this.

When I heard about it, I was just surprised Bush didn't try and pass it off as an act of terrorism and therefore an excuse to attack Iraq, but this is because I percieve him to be a Complete And Utter Wanker.

Um... I didn't feel anything either. o_o iono... it's just I don't really KNOW them. They could have been complete assholes for anyone knows. Just because they traveled in space and died doesn't NECESSARILY mean they were perfect people in life. Although they might have been the nicest people in the world. Just.. my point is since I don't have a personal attachment to them I don't feel anything. I don't understand how other people CAN feel anything. yes, it's sad, but I think people should move on. And they will... people forget about this kind of thing in like.. a week. @_@
