heeey. it put me on rich text automatically. curiouser.
anyway, i'm super bored/rejected....soon after telling keegan i don't get bored easily....(although i think i prefaced that with 'when i'm on holiday..'. on the other hand, i guess i AM on holiday. damn). and strictly i'm not rejected by anyone, keegan would have kept talking to me but i had dinner, and rod is seeing friends, which is good *strong effort not to monopolise or want to monopolise affections*. i think i'm mostly just jealous because i live so bloody far away, so there are almost never casual/spontaneous get-togethers with friends at my house. but then i also was heavily against moving last year when the move/renovate question came up. cause i do like this house. so i LOSE.
or something. actually i probably wouldn't be ranting so boringly if i wasn't bored, but my other options are tv, and cleaning my room, and reading but i've done almost too much of that recently...(4.5 novels since i got back from leavers on the 28th, plus magazines and the yearbook). and making stuff for people for christmas. but that takes effort, and organisation, and most of all would reverse all the room-tiding i've already done.
ANYWAY. i'll try to stop bitching now. maybe i'll put all that under a cut. yes. *pause*
there.
jaz's party on friday night was good fun for the most part....i got to go driving with kath (admittedly only to the bottlo [bottl-o? bottleo? bottle-o?] but it was funny. she kept driving over kerbs.), and meet kieran (- finally. he's cool, i like him. and he dances funny) and yeah, eat a lot of spring rolls and white chocolate mud cake (cheescake shop - their caramel and white choc. mudcakes are sooooooo good) and see keegan in his shirt, and see other friends. although i also got to watch dure monopolise rod for some reason/s, and watch her dancing, and spend a while talking to an upset simon, and a longer while dealing with an unhappy (ie. sick) jodi who'd drunk too much. so those things were less good, but still ok, because rey didn't actually talk to me, and also because i seem to get off on helping people (not literally) which made the other things bearable. i like being helpful, mm-hmm...
and....yeah. i didn't get questioned by the police, so that was good, and i only had small panics about the smashed glass. so all in all it was a fun party! thankyou jaz! i love you (platonically), happy birthday. best wishes etc. :D
then yesterday we went down to dwellingup, just for the night. which was fine and didn't take as much energy/stress as it usually does, because it was only for a night, except that i broke a glass rather impressively, and got kind of stressed about that. but otherwise good, read magazines, ate food, read another 1.5 books, etc. and today was another day of not doing much until it was time to leave, and then not doing much in the car, and then tidying room and stuff and dinner back at home. which brings us to here....*waves*
and now i have nothing to do, except play mah-jong, which isn't loading, or read comics and livejournals, or go find something worthwhile to do with my time. and seriously, who'd go for the last selection. really. jeez.
i'll give a couple of lists of fives to get myself back into that, and then go off and leave you poor people in peace. hope you're all having fun. by the way, sounds good ellen! hope your manicure went well!

1. terry pratchett / neil gaiman - good omens
2. andy quan - calendar boy (short stories - i think all the main characters are male... and 90% of them are gay and asian-canadian. at least 90%. coincidentally andy quan is also gay and asian-canadian. keegan i can see why you liked this book, and i'm not saying i didn't like it, and the characters are all different....it just gets suspicious after a while. like the reviews say how well the author portrays the issues of these people and you're like 'i wonder how well he would portray the issues of any character who wasn't a deviation of himself......'. sorry.)
3. terry pratchett - men at arms
4. " " - night watch
5. " " - going postal (behold my pratchett binge. i just seem to be in the right mind for it at the moment, plus i'm actually getting my hands on the newer ones. coming up when rod finishes it - Thud!)
6. magazines - old vogues, mostly for jewellery 'research' (but i'm hardcore and call it 'recon'.)
ha ha. yes. i'll go now.
