I love everywhere you went with the emotions on this. I had the strong and welcome feeling that I was reading something within the fandom, something that has already accounted for the punching reaction (which I deplore and don't believe in) or the trauma or the lengthy conversation. Other stories have explored all of that, and this story just goes for the pure emotion of reuniting. Thank you for that. Thank you for the sweet pain of John believing it was a dream and letting himself into it fully, and then having Sherlock be the one to take the lead when John doesn't understand what's happening. I love that John can sleep soundly because he doesn't really understand. I'm glad that he got the reunion and the sleep both.
