ICON TUTORIAL!!

so sorry if i haven't posted in a while...is.. i think because my life is not that interesting ^^U...anyway!
i'm here with my new tutorial, is not too much, but is a something .
I hope someone likes it!! :D,plz check it out
-made with ps CS
-selective color,curves,color balance used
-translatable..i guess so
I took this kyouya screen-cap i think from here http://ouran.krysyuy.net/ ,not sure...
-took your base
-then go edit>free transform (shift+t) ,and i make the base smaller and rotate it the way i want
optional step:
- now, just because i want to erase the japanese letters from behind to give it a more clean look, i took "the eyedropper tool" and select the color from behind the letters # F6FDFF ,create a new layer above , and with a round brush paint the green letters.Then merge down.

-go layer>new adjusment layer>selective color
with this settings:
RED
cyans -100
magentas +100
yellows -100
black +12
YELLOWS
cyans -100
magentas -22
yellows +83
black +12
CYANS
cyans +49
magentas +1
yellows +31
black 0
BLUES
cyans +88
magentas +1
yellows -100
black 0
MAGENTAS
cyans -100
magentas -4
yellows +17

NEUTRALS

-Now go layer>new adjusment layer>curves
with this settings:
RGB
first point ; input 126 output 114
second point; input 165 output 159

one point; input 92 output 97

second point; input 158 output 136
-go layer>new adjusment layer>color balance
with this settings:
MIDTONES
+43 -27 +12
SHADOWS
-10 +14 +22
HIGHLIGHTS
-8 -6 -8
-now i add some text one the place where it was my green japanese letters, and a couple of shapes :P
-add texture made by me
, blend mode lighten 100%
-and you are done! *ta-da*
tips:
+ not copy exactly , it depends on your image, but it works with every kind.
+it all depends on your taste
+if your image is to dark, right before your star with your adjusment layers ,duplicate your base set as screen 50%
