Brilliant! I love the way you write Luna... her pov in this story is wonderful, the way she tells the beggining and the development of her relationship with George is so believable and makes them a perfect ship! Great job! :)
Thank you!! I'm so glad you enjoyed it...and I'm really flattered that you liked her pov. I find it much easier to write from George's, so that's what I usually do. I think part of why this fic took me so long to write was because I was trying to get *inside* Luna's "head" and "voice" instead of writing from the pov of someone observing her.
I have mixed feelings about the overall fic...but there are moments I'm really proud of, and I'm glad you liked it!! :)
As for him popping the question, I went back and forth over whether or not to have him do that...in my other series I'm working on, nothing like that would ever happen so quickly. But with this being a one-shot, and trying to show their progression together over a period of time, *and* the prompt calling for something unforgettable...I thought, I've gotta go big...it's gotta be a proposal. It might be a little OOC, but it felt like the right way to close the story with a (pardon the pun) bang. :)
I *will* be updating the ficlet series soon...hopefully this weekend or next Monday (8/11). But I'm warning everyone...ficlet #4 isn't exactly going to be happy. Jealous!George speaks before he thinks. S'all I'm sayin'...
Yay!!!! You know how much I ADORE they way you write George/Luna loveliness and this was certainly no exception.
Beautiful!
I loved your George in this, he was just so... well, human. Brave and wonderful. And Luna is fantastic, with just the right amount of quirky humor. A well patched, pair.
Oh, thank you *so* much my dear!! I'm very happy that you enjoyed this!! I'm especially glad that you found this version of George so touching. He was always my second favorite Weasley boy (can't help putting Ron first!!), and after DH my appreciation/empathy for him just grew. I've had people in my life who've experienced similar devastating losses to the one he's gone through, and watching them trying to get back to a semblance of normalcy can be both heartbreaking and awe-inspiring
