I am not a good artist, but a mediocre artist. It isn't only because I use extremely cheap materials. There are other more legitimate reasons. XDDD!!!

The 15 minute drawings. Done with a pencil I found on the floor at school, a regular ball-point pen, and colored pencils. Crappy colored pencils. Not even Crayola, some grocery store brand. I fiddled with the contrast and mid-tone on the computer.

The 30 to 40 minute drawings. Done with the same pencil I found on the floor at school, a regular ball-point pen, and several colored sharpies. Yeah, I fiddled with these drawings on the computer too. They just look so much better when the colors and lines stand out.

So anyway. What I really wanted to do was take one of my original characters and fill out that meme that I saw on Seku's lj. But there was a problem. I remembered that I have a horrible habit of not finishing many artistic projects that I start. A while back I had all these ideas for original comics, doujinshi, whatever. I developed characters and general personalities but that's as far as I ever got. XDDD;;;

Ah, it never would have worked out. I have other bad habits as well. I don't like to draw the full-body shot (I have an obsession with face-shots, profilesque drawings. It's really rather annoying.), I make the clothing so complicated I drive myself crazy, and all my characters look way too sassy. I can't help it. Sassy, androgynous guys are more fun to draw. I am completely incapable of drawing a gentle face. Forget about the over-ambitious hero archetype.

Art is more of a hobby for me. I guess i'm more suited for fanart. XDDD!!!

Which gives me a good idea. I'm on my spring break with nothing to do. So I think I will make fanarts of my friends and post them here along with a nice little message for each individual. You'll have to excuse my mediocre skills, but it's the thought that counts right? ^__^

Seku, you definitely get a fanart. If you'll accept it from me. Don't worry, i'll draw you cool. Not necessarily in a hippy wig wielding a guitar. But it'll still be cool, I promise. hahaha.
